Prolific Investor

We were engaged by a fast flowing investor in the real estate business. The investor had purchased 11 properties in the South East. The entrepreneur struggled with the books tracking the profitability for the properties and tracking the mortgages. The accounting books were non-existent.

Everything was done on a spreadsheet! We started with the spreadsheets and transitioned them carefully into QBO. Each property was set up to compute accurate profitability on each. We recorded the loans, mortgage payments,
tracked the rent income, renovations, upgrades expenses in QuickBooks. Due to the neat, clean and accurate data we were able to set up in QuickBooks the investor was able to refinance the property twice at favorable interest rates. And thanks to exact profitability for each property that we set up, the investor eventually was able to sell them individually with an average investment return of 400%

Celebrated Chef

We were commissioned by a client, a high end celebrated chef specializing in Asian cuisine. The chef had a highly successful business catering to Fortune 500 companies and conducting super exclusive private cooking classes for this high in demand cuisine. The chef had also written several bestselling books on cooking. Extremely knowledgeable and famous in his field. The chef wanted to expand his business. But he could not get a handle on his QuickBooks. There were no accurate profit and loss reports and many transactions were miscategorized. The chef did the best he could but eventually he was frustrated and just gave up.

He realized he needed someone to rescue his books and himself from the tyranny of bad QuickBooks! We were brought in, we streamlined the books with visibility into the revenue for each of the income streams and profitability for the company. The chef was able to use the neat, clean and accurate data to project the revenue and profitability into the future to also successfully obtain a 7 figure SBA loan. With the streamlining the chef was able to determine profitability into the business. With the freed up mental bandwidth the chef was able to free time to scale his team to 18 team members, and add 276% more catering events. The client has upgraded the equipment, the several catering vans and the space. The client is looking to scale even higher with an eye towards a mid 7 figure exit in the near future.

Consultant

We set up QuickBooks for ex investment banker turned entrepreneurial consultant with the biggest prolific investment bank on Wall Street. The consultant maintained the books on Microsoft Excel. The consultancy was fast growing and the client needed a formal accounting platform to track the P&L. The client had no expertise in QuickBooks and did not have the
time and resources to transition to QuickBooks Online. We carefully understood the current system and processes from the spreadsheets. The large corporate clients required the consultant to submit invoices in their own format. So QuickBooks invoicing would not work. We set up QuickBooks Online, cleaned up the data, reconciled the books. For the invoicing due to the disparate needs of the consultant's clients it was kept separate and at the end of each month we brought the numbers into QuickBooks Online to
ensure it shows up on the P&L.

It took about 1 month to transition the client to QuickBooks Online but we were able to pull it off smoothly. The client saved on the stress and time it took to maintain the books on Microsoft Excel. The client's CPA was happy as they did not have to go through the varied spreadsheets maintained by the client to do the taxes. They just pulled the numbers of QuickBooks that we set up. The client no longer had to worry about their accounting and was able to take on more lucrative projects that required his undivided attention and more travel. At the end of last year the consultant had hired a small team and the revenue grew up by 100% over the year prior.
